Maxpay Provides Two-Step Authentication for All Merchants to Increase their Security Level

Cases of fraud in e-commerce are appearing increasingly more often each year. It is no longer difficult for scammers to crack or guess even more complex passwords. Therefore, it is very important to ensure your business has reliable protection.

We at Maxpay are constantly working on providing our customers with the best service, especially when it comes to security. This is why we implemented two-factor authentication for all merchant portal users.

What is 2-step authentication (2SA)?

Two Step Authentication, also known as 2SA, is a method of confirming a user’s claimed identity by utilizing a combination of two different components. In our case, we use your username and password to sign in to https://my.maxpay.com as the first factor and a single-use, dynamic passcode consisting of 6 digits, as the second factor. The code is generated offline by the one-time-passcode-generator, Google Authenticator.

The combination of two different factors to enter your account makes it harder for potential intruders to gain access and steal your personal data or identity.

How do I turn ON 2-step authentication (2SA)?

It only takes a few minutes to secure your data. To use the second factor of authentication, you will need to install the Google Authenticator app from Apple app store or Google Play store on your personal device.

Then you need to sign in to your Maxpay account and follow the steps from the video below.
